SIGN UP TO STAY MOTIVATED
Reaching your health and fitness goals requires commitment. Even though the benefits of regular exercise and a healthy diet are invaluable, sometimes that's hard to see when a busy schedule, illness (the flu!), and other things get in the way. Sometimes we have to create our own motivation to keep going! Here are 2 ways to do that:
#1: Sign up for an event -
Signing up for a fitness-related event - 5k, 10k, half-marathon, weightlifting competition, mud run, etc. - is a great way to stay on top of your fitness. It gives you a concrete goal with a set deadline. Pick an event that is challenging but achievable. Once you have registered, print the registration out and stick it on your fridge. Schedule training times on your calendar, and get going. If you're shopping, use this as an opportunity to pick out one new outfit for the day of the event!

#2: Sign up with friends -
Before you sign up, contact friends to see if anyone else is interested in joining. Some events offer discounted race registration for teams, so be sure to ask. Turn training days into social outings by scheduling a trip to get healthy recovery snack after long runs or just training together outside!
